Incoming via acclaimed Lausanne label Agnost1k Records is the exhilarating “Tunnel Vision”: a pair of innovative slices of industrial hardcore from local production trio Future Dynamics.
Formed of Nekrolog1k Recordings founder David “Homeboy” Santos, his brother Filipe, and close collaborator Billy S. – who together founded the Agnost1k imprint back in 2015 – the Swiss group have found themselves fast on the rise since making their collective debut in 2019 with the Alpha Phase EP, with its follow-up, 2020’s Beta Phase, further cementing their reputation within the underground dance music scene.
“Tunnel Vision” picks up where the two projects left off, its thunderous arrangement of uncompromising drums, gnarly distortion, swooping leads and ricocheting spoken-word samples making it a sure-fire stomper for the clubs. B-side “Be Aware”, meanwhile, showcases a new side to the team’s musical abilities. At 126 beats per minute, it comes in at a slightly slower tempo than their typical discography, giving their signature atmospherics even more space to flourish. An infectious, chanted rap vocal is set against brutal, shuffling percussion and jagged, sustained basslines, resulting in a stuporous, shapeshifting arrangement of spellbinding rhythms which serves as one of their most distinctive cuts to date.
