Continuing their busy summer release schedule, Lausanne-based brothers David & Filip Santos have returned to Agnost1k once again with their
second offering of 2021, the icy, genre-straddling instrumental two-tracker “Phobos Anomaly”.
First up on the new release is “Digits Rain”, a thunderous cut of cinematic club music.Introducing itself with jittering arpeggios and clamorous atmospherics, the song ascends into a heady, melodic state, with fuzzed basslines and popping snare drums tearing through the mix.
The title track “Phobos Anomaly”, meanwhile, is a certified techno bruiser, with its ambient passages juxtaposed by no-holds-barred drops. Dominated by pulverizing percussion and mechanical feedback, the track works its way up to a fever pitch, making for gripping results.
